Once Upon a Time…

Back in 1943 the Borchardt‘s purchased the land and built the main home and a small cabin, which is cabin 8 today. Then in 1967 Mr. & Mrs. Mensink purchased the property and added 20 more sites and the outhouses. They sold in 1973, and Mr. & Mrs. Monster ran the campground until my parents purchased it in 1979. Over the years, Ann & Harvey Erickson added 20 more sites, shower house, game room, and purchased Doc’s resort with 7 cabins in 1989. When they were ready to retire, There daughter Therese Erickson and her husband Paul purchased the resort in 2003. Paul and Therese are the present owners today.

Welcome to our special corner of the world!

Turtle Lake is approximately 100 acres in size with a maximum depth of 32 feet and has beautiful shoreline. It is connected by a scenic channel to to a larger lake: Partridge, a 200+ acre lake. Most watercraft can easily travel through the channel and enjoy both lakes.
Fish species on the lakes include: Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappie & Sunfish.

The Erickson Family

Camp Holiday has been in the Erickson family for since 1979, and is family owned and operated. Paul and Therese purchased the resort from Ann & Harvey Erickson, Therese’s parents, in February 2003.

They have two sons Beau and Cole and 6 beautiful grandchildren. Both Paul and I love to hunt and ice fish in the off season.
